Luke,

I have one like you are looking for. It is sized as a #1, good for VW bugs and Miata's. It was about $39 or so on sale at GI Joes in Medford, a sporting goods and auto store. Most discount auto stores sell an economy cover. Mine is water resistant but I use it mainly as an winter dust cover. Sounds like you want the same. It fits very well with the top erected, covers the entire car, leaving only the bottom 1/3 of the tires exposed.

After seeing John Hallstand's and Mike Cochrane's custom Speedster covers, I dug out the photo of the "custom" car cover that I used at Carlisle in the hotel parking lot for the night.

I guess to say that I'm a "cheap New England Yankee" would be an understatement, but it DID cost me $16.88 at the Home Depot and once we bungee'd it around the car, it wasn't going anywhere, nor could any ner-do-wells figure out what was underneath (none of this "Porsche" logo stuff for ME!)

Just to show how nice the SOC members are - no one laughed at it...(and Chris didn't look too embarassed when I got it out, either - thanks, Chris...) Notice, however, that no other SOC Speedsters are parked even close to me..... Hmmmmmmmmm........

BTW: I had a smaller version which I wrapped around the Sheepskin Seat Covers for the ultra-rainy, trailer ride home!! Worked like a charm!
AND, my winter dust-cover is made of Parachute material (and it's fitted).
