Good looking Speedster---great shade of red too!
Go to ebay and see if you can fine a PCA badge (Porsche Club Of America). To me that's about the ultimate badge you can have---plus a PCA decal for your windshield.
Should get both for about $50.
Good luck with your nice Speedster!
Depends what you are looking for. I personally sport three badges...
- and SOC badge, coolest badge ever.
- a RACE badge- Royal Automobile Club de Españaa ( basically triple A of Spain, where I'm from).
- and a 356 registry badge. ( I haven't taken it off because im too lazy to remove the lid grill and luggage rack... Not my favorite since I sold my 356 coupe, and have enjoyed some heated conversations with local PCA members.)
Heres an old pic

PCA badges do tend to tick some POR$CHE owners off. There are several SOC ones produced over the years and they are "of course" the best. The Corpse one was probably the first and is rare. There were a couple others more recently produced - you might find one of those from a prior member. Can't find photo of latest SOC one avail in red tones or the limited un-enameled gold.

How do you have badges on a unfinished car? That is some bullshhhhhhh.. right there!

What Greg said. A PCA badge on a plastic Speedster just makes you look like a poser/wannabe anyway. We should do more to differentiate ourselves and celebrate the fact that our cars are driven and not hidden away in garages, only brought out to make the trip to the trailer and then the show field. Same with the P emblems and scripts; our cars don't have factory vin #'s, so who needs 'em?
Note- As usual, the above is only the opinion of the author and doesn't necessarily reflect the attitudes of the forum moderator or anyone else frequenting here, so it's understood if you don't agree with any of the above. And if you really have a problem with it- tough sh*t. You're all poopieheads anyway!

John: Will your badges go with the car when you sell it?
Gosh---I never felt as if I was a "poser" or a "wannabe" I guess those sobriquets have to apply to every one of who who drive a plastic copy of a Porsche Speedster rather than an original, metal one made in Germany. Shame on every one of you bastards who are trying to fool the public! Who in the SOC ever realized we were so phony??
And to piss off the owner of a real Porsche is a dreaded situation I worry about every single day.
I am proud of my car, the same as everyone here and have never told anyone that my car was anything except a reproduction of a '57 Speedster---a tribute car, and just a hell of a lot of fun. It has won three Best of Show trophies in some large car shows, with a framed info sheet on the windshield that clearly states that it is a reproduction made in Hawaiian Gardens, California. (It also states that the car has made the 2,500 mile round-trip to Carlisle nine times plus a 3,500 mile cross country trip to the West Coast and back.)
I am immediately heading out to the garage to remove and destroy the PCA badge , the P emblems and the script on the dash, plus I'm changing the shape of my car---maybe to look like a Pacer or something. I have seen the light.
NOT!
I like them all.

Good one Jack! I was hoping someone would pick up on that...
Well, I guess I'd better remove my Porsche wheel centres. The rest of the P stuff is hidden away, thankfully.

Bob, have you seen the IM centers for those wheels?
The maker, has made some for some clients, if you intend on not replacing those wheels.
Ray
The Porsche centres came with the wheels. I'm still thinking of changing the wheels, so I'll stay with what is on there, and then I can sell them complete.
BTW, I ordered some German Square weave carpet and binding from Henry to match what I have in the car, and I'm going to get a local shop to do the trunk. Might as well go all the way.
That might look nice I'll look forward to seeing your picts
You might want to think about whether you will use a spare tire before you do it so that they can make you a wheel cover too... i.e.: 911 blow up spare wheel & Tire, 12 volts air pump, wheel jack and tools.

Bob, I would like to keep them, but if it means the difference between sale and no sale, they go with the car. I've had several suitors and some fairly good offers, but the Red Man abides in my garage.
Ray: I have that badge (as a crest) on the nose of my car.
As for the tool kit, I'll start checking flea markets...

Hey Hoss, how do you get heat out of that vent?
My Grill badge is wired to my horn, just in case someone wants to toot the horn... they get quite a surprise .

Hoss doesn't have to worry - His is a rare SAS with Subbie engine in the back seat! He laughs at air cooled troubles.

Not a Pacer Jack. Then you would be accused of replicating a 928.
