hi

i just built a factory five racing ac cobra kit car for myself and i am interested in a spyder kit for my wife. i am not interested in a turn key, but a true kit. is it the most economical to put one on a vw pan? or go tubular.

any help would be great. ALso, body scale and correctness (sp?) is important to me.

thanks

Pat: I have a bunch of pictures on this site under the photo drop-down, look for "scottnp". The car is about 10 inches longer than the original and other replicas. The extra length is behind the driver and it gives you a bit of storage area back there. The overall price depends on how much extra you put into it. The costs of Perry's kit and additional kits come in under $6000, however, you still need wheels, instruments, steering wheel and mirrors. After painting then you may reach a total of $10,000 not counting the cost of your donor car. I went a bit overboard and paid $3500 just for the paint job and had a few other things upgraded.
