Hi all, I am based in Australia and have acquired a neat little speedster that has been neglected and requires replacement parts. Items such as a banjo steering wheel, horn grill, engine grill, plate light, badges etc. etc. Can anyone help with one of two suppliers? Thanks in advance. Possibly email me at. kni-time@bigpond.net.au Thanks guys.

Well, let's see:

For really good quality Porsche parts (but quite expensive), try http://www.stoddard.com/

Next step down in quality/price:  http://www.automotion.com/

Rubber/trim parts:  International Mercantile  at http://im356-911.com/

For general/performance Volkswagen parts we mostly go to cip1, SoCal Imports or Mid-America Auto parts

However!  Most of us go with reproduction parts for our reproduction cars, because the real Porsche parts are so very expensive.  That said, you could try three of the most popular replica builders for whatever parts you need:

Intermeccanica at http://www.intermeccanica.com/  (their site is temporarily down for maintenance)

Beck at http://www.beckspeedster.com/

and Vintage Speedsters at:  http://www.vintagespeedsters.com/

Good luck!

Hi all Thanks so much fir the leads. I spoke with Kirk at Vintage Speedsters yesterday and his office girl took my order and it's on the way. I also placed an order through Sierramad recollection and it also is on the way. The one or two harder badges were sourced through Klasse356 and they were excellent. Particularly in supply the genuine hood badge for the handle etc. So I am like a kid now watching for Santa to delivery the toys. Just had the car up on a four post hoist and have decided to completely clean the under carriage and rust coat and give it all a final coat of gloss black - Killrust black gloss paint. I sourced 4 new 165 SR 15 tyres so will replaced them as the current tyres have serious cracking in the sidewalls from sitting in grass etc. Next job is to re trim seats and hood. Looking forward to getting it restored and out cruising. Thanks again for the leads. Bernie Melbourne Australia.
