My friend just got a windshield frame (alloy) and the end posts and glass ,
Where is the best place to get the base rubber ./ rubber around glass / and rubber under end posts.
or who not to buy from ? Right now he is thinking of Sierra Madre .
Also the metal base strip , is that something you buy or make ?

Since you are in SoCal, I'd go to VMC. My CMC didn't come with rubber under the posts, so I had to go to Klassee356 for those.
I doubt the guy I traded my Spyder to has any use for the Speedster windshield I took off my car, but I doubt he’d want to “break up a set.”
If you’re interested in the whole thing, I’ll ask him if he’s interested in selling it. It has brand new rubber as of 2010-ish. Might sell it cheap as the glass is cracked. (Used it as a grab rail once too many times)
I haven't heard of anyone ordering from them in awhile - but they have both parts for under $100.
I would go to Greg Leach at Vintage Motorcars Inc. He's got everything he'll need, INCLUDING the metal frame at the bottom of the glass.
