In my neck of the woods, the ground is wet and reddish copper, this being one of the reasons for the color choice of my car. Because of this I needed a mat that was washable. I started with rubber mats but they looked a bit truckish.
I went to Home Depot, bought a large texured outdoor mat and cut it using the rubber mat for a template. Now I have a very nice set of floor mats that look somewhat like coco mats and when they get dirty I pull them out and hose them down.
