Whoever went to Brevard last year probably remember my trailer mishap. Caught a huge retread on my trailer jack doing 70. Jack was bent back at 45 degrees. The skilled crew we had were able to return in to its vertical position. But the Jack itself was very difficult to turn. So I cut through the welding and bolted a new one in place. This thing is awesome. The entire Jack moves up and down. So you can just drop it to the pavement instead of turning it a million times. It can also be locked in place with only the footplate below the tongue of the trailer. No more scraping on driveways. And no more retreads.

We had one similar to that on the trailer we used for our Search and Rescue SnowCat. Pull the pin and drop the plate as close to the ground as possible, set the pin, turn the crank a bit and off the hitch it was. Reverse the procedure to put it back on the hitch. It really made it nice when towing something with multiple vehicles because of the varying heights of the tow vehicle hitches. Nice score on that hitch.

Do you have a link to the one you bought or do you remember the make/model?
