Has anyone bought from them or know anything about them?

I believe they're a reseller for either Vintage or JPS. That implies some markup over what you'd pay going directly to the manufacturer.
I may have misunderstood them when we talked this AM but I was left with the impression that were a builder or at least someone who rebuild/restores cars. I will follow up with them again.
Thanks
Joe

I don't think they're going to tell you that they're nothing but a middle-man willingly....
Just wondering here....any chance these resellers get a bit of a discount from the mfg. and sell the cars at a fair price ? Possibly act as an authorized distributor of sorts ?
David that would be my guess. When I price from the reseller and the manufacturer I come up very close to the same list price. It does not seem to be a discount going to the manufactuer vs a reseller. I believe in both cases you pay suggested retail.
You may get a small reduction if the reseller is off loading inventory.

I'd stay away from any business with the name "Beverly Hills" in it. That is, if you are looking to save some money
I would agree with Indetrucks. Now, if it was Rodeo Drive Motor Cars, would that sound like a better deal? I think Kim and Kanye shop there for their cars.
Isn't that where Brittany Spears got hers?

Hawk, we know the guys at Beverly Hills Motorcars, email me if you have any specific questions that I can help with. Alan@carreracoachwerks.com
Hawk,
BHM, does not build cars. He is a resale or middle man. I have meet him and some of his partners. He also buys used speedsters and flips them on the local craigslist. here are some of his adds. I know for a fact that he also bought these off of craigslist for around $10k less then he is asking.
rghgv-3548248192@sale.craigslist.org he bought this one for $14k I know because I was trying to buy it.

If your going to spend that type of money you should have a newly built car to your specs.
Hope that helps make the right choice.....
Thanks That is what I suspected but was unsure. They left a rather vague impression on the builder/restore part.
You can ask me anytime, I'm honest and straight to the point almost to a fault

Kevin is most definitely a straight shooter. No BS, no games. Good guy in my book!
Thank you Jim...... I try.
On a side note, I am opening up my own business doing repairs, custom work, full car builds and pre-purchase inspections for any and all VW based and other vehicles here in the Mendeola Building. I will still be running Mendeola Suspension so I can still full fill any suspension questions and needs.
Look around for Coolrydes Creations, I'll be building some sweet stuff (I hope).
You guys can always PM or call me with you needs.
Awesome news, Kev. Best of luck & full speed ahead with your new venture!
restore is a vauge term. I have a fully restored 27 ford roadster racecar (drag)I need to sell. it is currently restored in my shop, in the effing way,it's 90% new&never been raced(or finished). It was stored in my kitchen before I built the shop.(and I have pics to prove it)
So restore can mean many things, including washing, wiping the oil off the motor or just spraying some piant so you dont see the rust on the framehead/frame
Does anyone know if the business referred to at the start of this post (Beverly Hills Motor Cars) is still open? Their website states their address as 861 Fifth Avenue, San Diego, but Google Maps is indicating the business has closed or relocated.
I was planning on paying them a visit but don't want to waste the time travelling there if they've closed or moved. Thanks.

Ossie.
Don't waste your time, just go straight to Vintage!

I need to clear up my earlier post about Beverly Hills Motor cars.
I had posted up facts about what I have seen first hand. I did leave an open ended comment and did not mean any negative by my posting. It was simply meant to give you guys some insight and help in how to spend your hard earned money.
We all understand that BHM like any business out there is in business to make money. So when I made reference to the purchase and selling history I knew of, it could have been taken in a negative light even though it was not meant that way.
So to get to the point or reason I originally posted here are your honest options.
1) Purchase or order a car from BHM
2) Go directly to Vintage Speedsters
3) Or keep your eye on the classifieds and find a smoking deal, sometimes thousands less then you could buy or order one for.
Those are the facts. Like it or not I'm a straight shooter and will always try and help people out.
My Soul does NOT have a price tag !!!!
BHM has moved, and is no longer at that address in Downtown San Diego, it's a different ownership now.
