Hello, This is Robert, Bill's son.
Thank you all for your kind words, I appreciate it.
I am writing to talk to you about the run after Bill's service.
I understand that after the service everyone is coming to Bill's house to honor his life, awesome, we will have a celebration. After the celebration there is a run to Gerd's house, I love the idea but, I would really like to participate in the first run after the service. Unfortunately, I can not be there as I will have family at the house. Is it possible to have the run on Sunday morning? meet at the coast and then take the run and go to Gladstone's for lunch?
Thank you all for taking this into consideration.

Robert, I'll be the first to chime in here....Having planned some of the SOC events, It is extremely difficult to get a weekend day when most of the memebers are free, mostly due to family obligations etc...some members attend church on Sunday etc...so putting two days in the same weekend aside for the SOC is not an easy task. Most of the members Will be hard pressed just to put the Saturday aside which I'm sure they will try to do, to be at your Father's service..
Since they will already be in Pasadena on Saturday, it seems perfect to keep it all in the same day.

You can use this thread to survey the group to see if they can be available on Sunday, but don't be to suprised if you can't get many takers....It will not be a reflection of their love for your father.
Robert - I offer my most sincere condolences for the loss of your father. As you can tell, your dad has deeply affected those around him with his most personable demeanor and loyalty as a friend. He was also very proud of you.

While your family duties may keep you from joining the cruise after the church services on Saturday, I would make myself available to meet up with you, and any others (SOCers) on Sunday for a drive along the coast (or whatever).

Please feel free to contact me at musbjimATcox.net and I can help coordinate a Sunday run.
