Just out of curiosity - i think most of the speedies you have redone have those wheels.  Is that becasue they come with them from VS, or are you putting them on?

 

Just throwing it out there (my $0.02) -  have you thought about reselling the wheels and trying out a set like Roman's:

 

(maybe a lowering it a little too?)

 

 

there seems to be demand for those wheels - so you might even walk away with extra $.

Hard to really say from the angle, but they look like fully polished versions of American Racing's Classic 200S wheels. Though I'm sure there's many imitations by others.

Looks like Black Betty II is getting your usual attention to detail, Troy! Looks great and a nice ride for the new owner!

i think Roman said the wheels are 15x8 and 15x10's

You are right Mango they are American Racing 200S wheels in a 5x4.75 pattern.

 

And yes 15x8 15x10. Polished Aluminum.

Looks great Troy! You've turned into the Speedster Flip King in my absence. I want to congratulate you on your wonderful work; I especially enjoy your videos.

I love those wheels.  I wish they came in a Porsche bolt pattern.  I'm not a fan of wheel adapters.

Which wheels, mine or Ron's?  If it's mine, Kirk has them custom made, so maybe they can be made with a Porsche bolt pattern.

Troy; I'm Ricardo; have had the same username since at least 10 years ago. I believe I remember your first Speedster; was it black?

OK.  Ricardo from PR.  I think in addition to Impala it must have also said Ricardo, because that is what I remember about you.  That's probably the biggest issue about the new site, it's difficult to know who you are talking with unless they put their name in their signature like Ron, Bill myself and a few others have done in this thread.  I don't have a clue who sassy, or porschavw (who are also in this thread) actually are.

The first one was silver and that was just about 3 years ago, but I've had at least two black ones along the way.

Yes sir; that's me. I'd been under the radar for close to 5 yrs; was actually surprised when one day I tried to log in and the website jad been changed and somehow had to create a new user account with the same username. Ironic that the old posts and photos are still there; somehow I couldn't just pick up where I'd left. I still have my VS and dig the hell out of it.

Hi Mike; the work on my contract in NOLA ended back in June 2012 and I've been unemployed ever since; sound familiar? Despite my efforts as well as the efforts on the part of some great friends who want me to relocate there I've been unable to land a job to make it possible. I've been on a job hunt since then and that is my full time job now. In my 20 years of professional experience I've never gone through such a lengthy dry spell; this is a first. Not a fun position to be in but I could do a whole lot worse; I live in a tropical island, don't have any outstanding debt and have my Speedster to cheer me up, how about that?

Ricardo, what do you do?  Even in this economy my company (Scientific Research Corp.) is hiring.
