I built this speedster from scratch 1-1/2 years ago, it won the Carlisle Elite Award last May.....Not sure why it is up for sale again but it is truly a great car. Asking price is high though ....I am not the current owner / seller .

Miata bar, I cut the welded mounts flush with the bar and make my own 110 degree L shaped mounts out of 1/8 x 2 flat bar, painted chassis black. This gets bolted to the underside bolt supplied on the bar...takes about 2 hours for the entire job. If you look closely the hoops are off set outboard from on center of the seats 1.25 " but not that noticeable. On my project #40, I am doing we figured a way to do it better by cutting 2.5" from the horizontal center, insert a sleeve inside the bar adding two 1/2" plug welds on the underside.
