I recently sold a beautiful Black Vintage Speedster that had been ordered with the rare Hard Top accessory. The buyer did not feel he would use the hard top so I am selling it separately.  I was really impressed with the fit of the hard top and how cool the Speedster looks with it on.  This will definitely fit your Vintage Speedster but may not fit other builds. It also comes with a separate set of window inserts that are sized for the hard top. I also have a stand and cover for the top when it is off the car. 

This was a $2500 option from Vintage.  I am asking $1800 and will listen to serious offers. We would also have to discuss best way to ship the top if you are not able to come to the Atlanta, GA area to pick it up.  Feel free to call me at 770-359-8400 if interested.

"Pineapples" has three syllables and "Raindrops" has two. This does not fit within the musical scope of this melody.

Also, you may not be aware of this but pineapples falling from trees have actually killed people in Hawaii.

Craig, the main reason is that these cars are different between manufacturers, and even several cars from the same builder can be different enough to prevent a top that fits one from fitting another.  Search out some of the threads on this site that describe the work required to fit a top to a particular car.  Porsche was very good about making the cars the same.  That has not been duplicated in our corner of the madness.

Slight variations in the windshield post to cowl placement. Often the correct 30 degree post base angle is altered by not setting the windshield base rubber correctly which throws off the top of the upper windshield frame forward or aft, this can be up to 5/8"....there would need to be a forward gasket on the hard top that would have to accept these offsets. The way VS does it is to set the top on the car and then bond the header bow to the top for a correct and cosmetic fit, this is why Kirk requires the speedster at his shop to be done correctly.

Wolfgang, thanks for posting that link, it pretty much confirms that my speedy is in fact an early IM. The silver speedy in the add shows the placement of the sideview mirror on the door (like mine), rather than on the front fender where most new builds from all other vendors  including  IM's place theirs. Mine was built on a '69 donor pan while IM was still in Santa Ana/Ca. Thanks for sharing!
