Hey Nic,

I tried to read thru the ad copy and it is very difficult to get a sense of whether the car comes with an engine, an engine that doesn't run or with a partially complete engine.

The ad copy mentions seat wear but the photos don't show any seats.

There is a picture of the car on a trailer, so is it a project?

It looks as if you have a five lug pattern & Fuchs??? I don't recall reading that in the ad.

Does the ad format allow you to make paragraphs? If so I would break down all those words and rearrange them in some order that:

1.Defines the current condition of the car; roller, 75% complete, etc
2.List the upgrades
3.List the additional equipment
4.To do list

Lose the moving story and the sliding into a curb. You can mention the car can be registered as the pan year donor, smog exempt in most states. You can disclose the need for some minor nose work and you might even spend some ad space explaining what gel coat is and that you really don't need to paint it.

Lastly, I think $9K is a good price for a project replica, but I came away unsure of what all you were selling... Running, complete, project, broken needs help???

You need to remember a lot of these SAMBA guys are do-it-yourselfers and look for radical cheap only and the SOC guys are mostly just lookers and lurkers.

I believe eBay, Yahooauto.com, etc have a broader audience and fatter wallets.

Good Luck!

Thanks guys...

I sort of threw a description together. I've been tearing at myself on selling it or keeping it. It was a spur of the moment thing to even post an ad. Last time I got the bug to sell a car to put the money towards another project... I watched my 69 camaro roll away the next day as it sold on ebay in only hours of being up. Lets just say, I didnt really want to sell it and for a while, wished I hadnt placed the ad. :)

Sellers remorse :) - come on, you know what I'm talking about.

I will put a better description together tomorrow and roll the car out into the sunlight to take some detailed photos of all parts of the car. State of completion is in essence... if I had an engine in it, I'd be out driving it tomorrow and would probably think to myself, "what the hell would i want to sell this for" LOL

Thanks guys, that helps. As always.
