Black Stafast Full Tonneau for Sale

I have a new, black, full size, with zipper, stafast tonneau cover for sale. This is exactly like the one that came with my Vintage Speedster when I bought it new, except that it does not have any snaps installed. Snaps will need to be purchased from Vintage or somewhere else.

The Vintage price for this is $380, but I will take $300 plus $20 shipping.

Sorry Steve, but I didn't have it at that time. Also, it would have meant that I had to remove the windshield to drill the fastener holes and I'll do almost anything I can to avoid removing a windshield!

That bad huh? I was wondering. I guess I'll fall back to duct tape and a cut up tarp!

To be honest, the only times I have ever used my tonneau were when I had the car over at the coast and there was fog or a chance of dew. Otherwise, I don't leave anything in my car that I'm concerned might be stolen and the tonneau just takes up space in the trunk.
If you really want a tonneau, removing the window is really not that difficult, but it is a little risky.
There is probably a tool that can be used to drill those holes with the window in place, but I don't know what it is.

I used a right angle drill attachment on my Dremel. Then a screwdriver bit on a ratchet to attach a couple extra snaps by the windshield.

Troy.. easy to drill from under the dash I use a short 5/16 self tapping hex head screw with a cordless drill on slow speed then install the snap on the dash with a mini ratchet driver. ~Alan

You guys drilling from underneath, must be using the center windshield post as a reference to determine where to drill. Didn't think of that, but that would work!
Maybe now my tonneau will sell!

OK, so I have not searched yet, but how horrible is the installation? I think I really need a tonneau for the summer, and I have a black top so it matches. Do the rear snaps automatically line up or do I have to do some crazy work installing them in the cloth?

Steve, it sounds like the snaps will have to be added. That's a good thing because it will line up perfectly on your car. Putting the snaps on the tonneau is not that hard. On a Vintage, in the rear, the snaps for the top on the body are used for the tonneau. The front is the hard part because you will have to drill holes to install the snaps either by first removing the windshield, using a right angle drill attachment, or by drilling up from the bottom.

Troy - I know it was back in January 2012, but did u sell your Stayfast black full tonneau without snaps. I'm hunting for one now in July, 2012.  $270 shipped is a great price. - Dave
