Does anyone know about this car? They have had it for sale a long time, but they do not know anything about it. (probably conveniently) I got the feeling they were open for offers. I wonder if any of you guys know about this car?

I think you are referring to the one they bought from a member here.... Refer to this thread....

Thanks Scott. I wondered if that was John's car. I spoke wit him about it last year and with the original owner too. It had some initial build problems. Big ones - hood flying off, rattly trans, etc... If it is the same car, it appears the owner after John did not keep it for very long either.
They mark every car they have way up! They have the yellow rsk spyder they bought for $19ish and now it's $39K last I saw.

I am pretty sure John thought he was selling to a member here but ended up going directly to them - If you read his thread (3 pages in) he notes..
"Sure hope he fixed the car so that the third owner is happier then the first two. He knows the problems. All disclosed. Asking price is fair if the car has been made right. If it has not been it will continue to haunt the owners and sellers. There isn't a thing wrong with the car that there aren't known fixes for. NO EXCUSES. "
This was two weeks after it left his house - I had talked to John about the coupe as well - if it had a back seat I would have bought it.
Mark up. Like 39k for a pan based IM roadster. Crack heads!
Yes, this was my wife's car, I sold it to them about three years ago, don't know why it hasn't sold, too much $$$$$$$$ maybe ? If in fact you are referring to a type one VW powered one and not the Subie powered one. I also sold my VS Speedster at the same time, which I certainly regret.
Also recently sold my Beck Speedster, back in the hunt for another, very specific requirements however, so it may be some time until I find EXACTLY what I'm looking for.
Chuck Martin
Sorry, failed to see you were referring to the Subie powered one.
The Blue Subie (sold) coupe at BHM. This one has type 1 1917cc.
Chuck, was your power plant as I have forgotten?
The blue Suby coupe was built for forum member Dr. David Bash in Indianapolis. Dr Bash also had a Beck Speedster.
