In a 4 lug, I'll take 5 right now, uh well powdercoated silver.
they make really nice wheels ....
That D pattern is very cool.
Art,
Carey has the wheel you describe on their site.
Thanks, heading there now
Always liked those 914 wheels.
I think the question was meant to wonder what the wheel would look like without the rudge center cap...
Art - Those are Western Dan Gurney wheels.

Yes that was my point what do the rudge wheels look like without the center caps. on the other hand they have a really nice set of Porsche C wheels also on that site.
Those western wheels are all hearts at least that seems to be the pattern they have.
You guys and your wheels are like women and their shoes -- sheeeesh . . .
Aaaaahhhh!!! Here I am trying to figure out wheels on a budget and you guys are showing me these. Seriously, I love all of their wheels, but those Rudge-like things that CARETECH-IM posted are incredible. Greg, look closely. I'm pretty sure those aren't Gurney wheels - which I ALSO love.
Budget? We ain't got no budget. We don't need no budget. I don't have to show you any stinkin' budget.

How many days now...?

If we ever do another badge, I vote that this be the motto.

I thought p0rn was against site rules.
I had persuaded myself that there was one grossly expensive thing for these cars that I didn't really care for. I thought I wasn't a big Rudge man. I was wrong.
Wow.
Stan,
I agree. Those wheels are amazing.
Ted
I want the $3200 wheels Ted has that I cannot afford. I wish someone made a very nice, reasonably priced alloy wide 5 lug 15 X 5.5 replica porsche wheel.
Rusty I know exactly what you mean... remember "there is always a bigger fish" Ray
wheels make the car but need to complement the color as well
At $55 each those McAfee wheels make a lot of sense, budget-wise.
I know they won't fit, but it was the first I'd seen done like this. 3 piece, ally hoops.

Those are very neat, Bill. They look like they're 16's or 17's. Wonder how much they weigh?
They are the bomb !

If they're all steel they're going to be heavy mothers.
Ok Guys,
Wanted to hold off letting the word out, but we are making Aluminum wide 5 wheels for the Speedsters and Spyders.
They will have the correct offset and we are going to offer them in Silver or Polished in 4.5 and 5.5 widths. Hub cap clips will be optional with screw in button allen heads.
Posting the wheel pics for your preview. We are not taking pre-orders at this time.
Oh, and how much? Really reasonable. A lot less than the 2k everyone else sells them for.
And for those that are planing to do a 4 to wide 5 conversion a full brake/wheel kit will be offered so you can get everything needed to do the job. We are taking all the guess work out of it for you. Again, it will be reasonably priced.

ohhh, nice. I wish i had waited.
How much does a 15x5.5" weigh? Is 15x7" possible?
Alex,
Great looking product. I'm surprised it hasn't been done sooner by one of the wheel companies. With the number of 356s/replicas/early vdubs still out there, you should do well.
Love them, my suggestion is to do 16"x 6" or 17" x 6" that will fit a bus ghia, squareback and speedster, opens the market. I would think a 4" or 4 1/4" back spacing would do it.
Very nice.
The backspacing is going to be 3.75. We found that is the best fitment all around. Once we get the standard 15" done, we are going to see how viable it would be to go to 16" and 17".
We are pretty excited about the wheel as we feel there is a huge gap in the market. A good quality performance wheel that is a mimic of the original at an affordable price.
I'm going to be ill, but I knew that eventually somebody would do it. Those are really, really nice.
16s would be the bomb. Way better rubber available in 16, and it still looks normal-ish.
Danny? Daaaannnyyyyy? Danny Pip!
Your new wheels called....
