Type4 w/Bosche L-Jetronics fuel injection.
I've read through the comments/threads in SOC Search without finding anything applicable.
During acceleration through lower gears I often get an intermittend bucking, stuttering hesitation at about 3K rpm's that smooths-out if I back off and slowly increase rpm's.
I've got some 'trouble shooting' notes for the L-Jetronics but they don't specify this problem, nor do they indicate diagnostic possibilities starting from the simplest fixes to the hair pulling complex!
I don't know if it means anything but this engine lived its life at 4,500 ft. elevations. It's now at 450 feet. There's also a note under "Safety & Maintenance" not to jump start...well, duh... I did! (I hope that was a precautionary note for personal safety, and not a warning that electronic FI monitoring stuff would be fried)
Any suggestions on what to look at...how to proceed?
