1. What vehicle is it likely to have come off?, and would it of been part of a pair (HI & LO)
2. What frequency is it, so I can find the other one to the pair, assuming it was a pair"
Just letting you know that the horn is from an early(pre 1965) Volvo 1800 and was part of a three horn setup with the FSA being the loud passing horn, and the pair of matched smaller FDG horns the "city" horns.
As for frequency, I tested the one I have and believe it to be in the neighbourhood of 470Hz but I've not been able to verify this.Bosch Horns Front

The Bosch 12/27 wasn't part of a pair that I am aware of, certainly not for the Volvo 1800.  It's possible that it was a stock horn re-designated as 27(Volvo) so it may very well have a mate as many horns do under a different number.  I'd love to find the list of all Bosch horn designations, other then the MB, Volkwagen, Porsche, 25/9-Lancia and 27/12, 12/17-18 Volvo I've found very little information.

Sadly when I respond to older messages on various forums its not the thread that is the only thing dead!
