Boxster 17" twists

Has any one ever installed the 17X7 boxster wheels 55 mm offset on their speedster. I'm thinking it can be done. I may have to build a wider beam??? Any input anyone?

If they're not wide enough to fit into the wheel wells properly, a wider beam isn't the easiest answer. You can get wheel spacers (or even adapter/spacers to go from one bolt pattern to another) at Pelican parts. www.pelicanparts.com

I forgot to add that its a standard body. I ordered disk brakes for all 4 corners 5 x 130.

Henry (Intermeccancia) and I test fit a Boxster wheel/tire on my IM. The 16x7, 55mm offset wheel, with a 205/50-16 tire fit, but rubbed on one of the rear suspension arm bolts. If I switched the bolt to the inside I think the wheel & tire would have just cleared everything.

I have the rear fit with the disk brakes. I cross drilled the rotors and painted the calipers red. I fit the rear wheels. All I needed was a 1/2 inch of spacer. I will post some pictures as soon as I figure out how.

Kevin, did I meet you once several years ago at Bugapalooza in Chattanooga? I remember the person I talked to had a silver Speedster and we talked about removing the A/C system from a VS. Was that you?

John that was me.... We sold that car 8 years ago. This one is silver with red interior. I remember talking to you also.

Is there any information on the build of Ben's car? I thought that I had saved something on it, but no can find. I like the front an dmight try it.
