He must've got tired of waiting for Steve.
I couldn't get passed "commissioned by Justin Bieber" .... nothing good can come of this and he'll probably wrap it around a tree within a few months.....well, maybe something good CAN come of this
Having studied the boxster as a potential donor for a few projects, I can tell you this was no small feat! I do think the proportions are off (compare the rocker deco to the size of the rocker and door) and I'd like to see a good shot of the width. Besides the FOOT in wheelbase difference, there is a 10" & 12" difference in track width.
That said, the cross of vintage/new is nice and I love the modern wheel with old horn ring... I'd check those coolant lines before driving it too much since they are the lowest part of the car by a few inches... Doh!
Ditto on both the above.
Not enough pics from enough angles to get the full effect. I'm always sceptical of cars built for TV shows or celebrities. So much illusion around both.
" I just report it , you decide"
An abomination
I really like it a lot. Damned nice, I'd say.
You know what "they" say about opinions.
I like it too. A really agressive looking stance.
For the money invested, I would have gone in a different direction...
I LOVE the roof line transition to the rear cowl.
The Boxster platform is ripe for re-skinning. Gen 1 cars are cheap to the point of being nearly free. Title/rego issues, as well as the whole PCA angst a lot of guys suffer should be no issue.
I think the body is amazingly good looking, given how different the proportions of the cars are. I'd be curious to see it without a top.
It's hard to not like the wheels. Those are the first big wheels I've seen on any permutation of a 356-ish car that don't look completely out of place.
I pretty much hate the interior, but I'm not sure what could be done here. They probably did the best they could, given the limitations of having stuff work.
I've seen pictures of the Carrera GT replicas built on Boxster chassis, and they look interesting. This one is more interesting to me.
