Bra - - - or No Bra - - that is the question !

Anyone use a bra on the front of their speedster?
What are the PROS and CONS of using a bra, may I ask?

Vintage Speedster makes a bra that is not as huge as some others and looks better than them. It does a great job and I use it just for road trips.

If you are worried about paint chips, and who isn't, google the Langkla pain repair kit---truly a miracle for repairing chips.

I've got one of the "full coverage" black bras like Gerd used to have. It does a great job of protecting the front 1.5' or so of the car, but it can be a bite to put on/take off. I use it for longer trips only, although the local freeway is probably the worst I've seen anywhere for sand, rocks, and other such debris. You have to remove it after you've been driving in the rain and let both it and the paint dry out. Otherwise you can get clouding in the paint. That said, it's been a very good investment.

Clear 3M is expensive but it looks great!

Any one with a flared Speedster use a bra (for the car)? If so are there fit issues (no not drooping)?

I seldom ever use mine, even on long trips. I finally figured out that the majority of road rash occurs during normal, around town driving and it just isn't worth the hassle of putting it on.

Also, I think the car looks much better without it. I'm not a fan of the 3M coating either. Like I mentioned in another thread, it reminds me of sitting on my grandmothers plastic covered couch, but there are several others on here who really like it.

The small chips and nicks are easy enough to fix, so I just accept them as part of the driving experience.

I have put 12,400 miles on my speedster in 14 months. I have stone chips/rash on the nose. I think its cool, this car is a driver. I drove from Baltimore MD to Columbia SC, 540 miles this past Saturday, no Bra, No worries. If you are thinking about selling it soon, potential buyers will not like the look. Home for the holidays. Now I am waiting for big brother to get in form Atlanta so I can chase him down in his coupe.

Hands down my mother has the coolest garage in the neighborhood! She is a proud parent.
