I put a Viper alarm on mine and am happy with it. I use the shock sensor and built in kill switches, but I turned off the perimeter alarm function that beeps when people get within six inches of the car because it drew way too much attention. Get an alarm with a pager function, that way you'll know if your alarm has gone off, even if you're away from it (mine's good for about a quarter mile).
VS has a sweet looking Bra that they sell. Check out Rot&Roby's Silver VS it has same bra. Alarms are like old girlfriends, everyone has got one and No one looks when they go off! Pick one You'll like and stick to it! My 'Blinking" LED is simple and it tells folks DO NOT even THINK about it!

I have a Bra for my Vintage. I got it 'cause it looked cool. However,
I think it's more trouble than it's worth. It's a pain to get it attached so it won't slip down. It hasn't come off but it never ends up where it started.
If you don't pad the straps that get slammed into the trunk area, they'll make a good impression on your paint (which turns out to be bad.)
I still use it once in awhile, just cause it's cool!

Greg, I switched from the bendable aluminum to Velcro. Works great and never slips. It goes on the same way every time.
Thanks for the responses, guys. Had a Viper alarm installed today (disabling the proximity function) and expect the VS bra to be delivered tomorrow. Now to adjust valves......

I like the Ah Bra, it does wonders for most Speedesters regardless of age.

Jim - I'm too new to be offended by anything, yet.... but certainly appreciate the recommendations and the humor generated by the site!
Good looking Speedster. I'm glad you're not offended by some of our humor 'cause most of us try to keep some insanity in this too sane of a world. I spent some time in your neck of the woods and would you believe all us South Floridians actually went outside to watch a tornado instead of heading for the shelter. I guess it was because of all the "Hurricane Parties" we're used to throwing.
