Today I was getting my speedster ready to bring in to get my annual inspection. Everything was great and functioning as it should so I had to screw with something. I adjusted the brakes and got ready to bleed them. Bled right rear, left rear, and when I got to the right front I couldn't get any brake fluid to come out. So I took the bleeder fitting out and cleaned it, replaced it and tried again. Still no juice , even when I took the bleeder right out with my wife standing on the brake. The strange part is that the right brake works fine as do the others.
If I take the bleeder out and poke around in there (gently)is it possible to clean it or am I likely to F- up something else in the process? The car goes fine and stops straight and is very drivable as it is.

Brake fluid should be completely changed every two years. It is hygroscopic, which means it absorbs water from the atmosphere. That black goo needs to come out, or your MC, calipers, and wheel cylinders WILL fail. But if you change it every two, your brake parts should last a long time.

I change mine as well as the hydraulic clutch, even years for me. I did mine last year after swapping axle gaskets and findidng leaking wheel cylinders also.

Off the soapbox now..........and do it now, not the day before Carlisle......
