Organic pads are the least expensive and contain carbon, fiberglass, rubber, and resin (hence the dust). Your alternative is to go to a ceramic composition (copper is embedded for greater friction) brake pad which is still quiet and produces less brake dust. Waxing the chrome hub caps is a good idea to make dust removal easier - plus it preserves the chome plating.
