The other day, after I had started the car and was letting her warm up a little, the brake lights mysteriously came on by themselves. In fact, I was dusting the back of the car when they did. No one was sititing in the car. They only remain on with the key in the on position. I am thinking the brake light switches, but since they are new I was wondering if there might be an alternative. I did the wiring myself, with the FiberFab harness, and I am not aware of any source for the power to come from other then the switches. I just want to make sure I am not missing something obvious. The brake light warning idicator is not lit. I assume I should just test the voltage out of the switch to confirm, but it is so dang cold out here right now!
Thanks in advance.
