Brake pads for CMC / Fiberfab with Metalcraft chassis

I know there are a couple guys on the forum that have CMC's or Fiberfabs with Metalcraft chassis. The front calipers are from a VW but I can't figure out what one. It's not a Rabbit. The pads look the same but are smaller. They are about 2.2" wide.

Does anyone know what they are from? The pads on mine are hard as rocks and I need some softer ones so maybe I can stop.

They could possibly be Karmen Ghia discs assemblies.

If they are Ghia, and I'll bet that they are, there are several pads that were used and two different caliper manufacturer's ATE and Girling.

Make sure that you order the correct part. I went through a few problems and eventually turned to the experts at Karmann Ghia Parts and Restoration, had them describe what they had on the shelf while I compared it to what I had in my hand in order to solve the problem. Then I bought four sets, just in case.

Thanks TC. I just ordered a set from a Karman Ghia resto place. It appears there are 1 pin and 2 pin pads. Mine are 2. I hope that's the only difference I have to worry about.
