Brand new Jake Raby Type IV engine for sale | 356 Speedster, 550 Spyder, Replica, Automotive Community

I have a brand new, unused Jake Raby Type IV engine that I'm selling. I bought the engine from RAT to go into an alloy bodied 550 Spyder project that I'm building but had a change of mind and decided to go with a more authentic looking 356C engine with one of Ibrahim Kuzu's 4 Cam cooling shrouds.

The engine is one of Jake's 2270cc 'Daily Drivers' and if memory serves is good for about 150hp. I chose the Daily Driver setup as it has a good combination of power and longevity. The engine is set up with a really nice set of Dellorto carbs which were rebuilt by Jake's carbs guy. The aesthetics are all pretty understated, black cooling shroud etc. - no coloured anodizing or anything

The engine is currently set up for a Spyder but can be reconfigured if needed (I'm not too familiar with the Speedster setup). The usual price for one of these units is around $15,000 with a 12 month waiting list. I'm looking for $11,000 and the engine can be collected right away from Jake's shop as I haven't taken delivery yet (I'm based in the UK)
