They were properly set by Leon but they needed a .60 jets then they needed to be reset. I didn't tighten one sides rod and it got acting weird.

Well, I've been running a CB rotary pump for many years with a single filter between the tank and pump.  It's a more commercial size (I can get the NAPA number a bit later this morning) and definitely NOT one f those cheap, plastic see-through things I see on a lot of cars.  

I've had one clogged jet since year 2000.

One decent filter between the tank and pump should be enough.  Of course, adding more won't hurt anything, but then you multiply how many things you need to change every so often, as well as potential leaks at the clamps, etc.
