I'm bent but not broken. Car pulled left when braking. Left front wheel got v v warm. Replaced both front calipers w new units. Car still pulls left when braking. Left front wheel still gets v v warm when not using brakes. Lines don't look bent or broken, no leaks hoses look ok. What should I look for next? Could master cylinder be trying to break my resolve to fix problem? Thanx for all input. Tom

Do check the wheel bearing. If it is over tight or beginning to seize, it will act much like a dragging brake. Difference is that your hub gets hot before the rotor/drum. With a dragging brake, the rotor/drum gets hot first. With time, the heat will spread around pretty thoroughly and you will be back to square one guess. Go around the block after letting the car sit all night, then check them by feel (don't get burned) comparing left to right. If no difference, go a little further and check again., etc. This should help isolate the problem to either brakes or bearings.

I agree with Angela.
Jack up front of car to get both wheels off the ground. Spin front wheels by hand. Spinning evenly with the same drag? If not check wheel bearing. If spinning evenly, have someone apply brakes to spinning wheel. When stopped, try spinning wheels again. One dragging? Collapsed hose or possibly corroded caliper (causing the piston to bind)
