It has been suggested that I go to the local hardware joint (not a Lowe's) and pick up some .5-inch ID clear, reinforced hose for use in my valve-cover-to-firewall breather box setup.
Anybody ever see that done? What other Harry Homeowner clear, high-temp answers are out there?
Also, does anybody have a line on a square-sided 10-gallon lined aluminum or stainless fuel cell? I'm more than a little disappointed with the number of flakes o'crap I'm finding in my idle jets. I want a do-over.
It doesn't have to be new, and I can provide dimensions to a fabricator. I'm not making it myself.

Way back when,,, I found some 1/2 in reinforced fuel line at a hot rod shop and decided to run all of my breather hoses using the clear. At the time, I had a 2276 turbo VW engine in my sandrail and thought it would look good

After about an hour of driving, YUK,

The presence of oil in the lines took away any asthetics of the engine and as soon as I got home from that sand dunes trip, I replaced all the lines with stainless steel braided line.
You are looking for "fuel vapor hose" available at NAPA and many other auto parts stores. You could substitute regular fuel hose, if you can find a large enough diameter, but it'l cost more than vapor hose does. All of that clear vinyl stuff will age harden rapidly in presence of heat and get brittle.
