HI guys,

Bruce,I will not be at the campout.I outsmarted myself and made our family vacation plans early in the year, thinking the campout would be the 2nd. weekend in June,Damn!!!!I will be at the Bull Session the 2nd weekend in June which is also a great event. Also I look forward to seeing you at the San Juan Island Tour at the end of July.

Ralph, the grab handle was an option supplied by Henry at IM.After a long wait I hope to take delivery of my new ride this week.Just waiting for the exhaust to get back from the ceramic coater, which should be today. So i am getting close.Brooks
Hey Guys,

After six months of waiting I Finally took delivery of my new Speedy from Henry last night. The car is awesome!!I have never had so much attention in a car before,I was really surprised. Now attention can be a good thing, but considering that the car isn't registered and has no plates my sphinkter did pucker up slighty when I was passed by one of our finest and he gave me a thumbs up!!I figured at that point I was given a free pass and after driving 35 miles I reluctantly pulled into my garage.Hope to get car registered and licensed today and then the real fun begins.Brooks

Brooks,

Congratulations on your new speedster! Henry does a nice job indeed.
Your car looks great! Love the wheels.

My only problem now is, you really can not know what you want until you have one of these beauties. I love my IM speedster, but after seeing Jim Ward's, Bill Steele's and yours (Brooks), I have a piece of paper out and I am already thinking about what will be on my next build. I Just have to figure out if giving up 50% of everything I own to the wife will be worth getting another speedster. May be I will drive mine around for a while and continue to get more ideas and which options will be on my next one. That sounds like a good idea. Anyway, congratulations Brooks, your speedster turned out great.

Oz
Brooks,

It has stopped raining down here and the week ahead and this weekend looks aces, sunny and 80's. Finally! I think we are out of that rainy weather pattern we've all been enduring for the past few months. One up side is that the reservoirs are up to their tippy top and the flowers around here are great.

An aside. I just found out my sister is coming out to see me at the end off July so will have to cancel my San Juan Is. tour, maybe next year,

Bruce
Hi Brooks,

I'd love to get up there and take a ride in your new IM Speedster. I feel like I almost know it inside and out.... but there's nothing like seeing a finished car in it's owner's hands. Seeing Bill Steele that day gave both of us a hint of things to come, eh?

The pictures are great, but one really needs to see your paint to fully appreciate it's beauty. And the satin B's are perfect wheels for that paint. Your picks made for a beautiful blend.

Oz mentioned looking at each new IM and seeing things he would like to do.. and I think that is a natural thing with these CARs Henry's team produce. As you know Brooks, Henry seems to improve on the design with each Roadster or Speedster that rolls out of that shop. And so, for two weeks, each of us have the best Speedster/Roadster Henry ever built on a technical scale. But, the beauty of each car remains unique. Look at Dale's...... timeless. So is yours.

Enjoy the rides, the smiles, and the company of likeminded friends. Your gathering this September promises to be super. I hope we meet again this year. If not the next. Your Speedster is beautiful, and is one of a kind. I am sure you will be smiling all weekend as you play.

Last. This is a good time to recall who inspired the Bivens on our IMs, used the Konis, went with louvers, and hives, rack and pinion,... and so much more. He may have been opinionated, but many of his opinions were worth noting. RIP George Brown.

Take the two laners.... and I'll see you sooner or later.
