I'm showing that we all started in 2004.

Last year was probably just to keep us oldies from feeling as old as we really are (wow! Did I just get younger??? Or was it just "Early Onset Alzheimer's"??).

Guess we should start planning now for the ten year anniversary in 2014, huh?? Maybe a coast-to-coast-to-coast, mega-Speedster Caravan???? 40 or 50 Speedstahs cruising Route 66 - I LOVE IT!!!

"Speedster-palooza"???

Sorry we missed everyone (again) this year. Chris and I really miss all of you.
Yes I do Alan... we pushed straight through with one fuel stop. Made the 10.5 hr trip in 9 flat avoided one of the 2 crazy a$$ storms that tore through here last night. Opened the shop around 6:30am but didn't realize just how tired I was until i told Blankinship to look at his front right wheel for speedo cable. LMAO This morning left was right and vice-versa. Because of that I decided not to touch any cars today and just answer e-mails, return calls, and make a run to Tire Rack. Probably a good call. :)
It was a blast and I enjoyed seeing everyone again and meeting some new faces as well.
Alan,
Ditto on the hit by a bus feeling. We made the 8 hour trip home as fast as possible, only being hindered by people slowing down and driving along side the trailer (them in the fast lane) staring at the Spyder and almost running into other cars on I95 and I40.
I just loaded all my photos and think I am going to go lay on the coach and pass out. Fantastic trip!!

You'll get used to those rubber-neckers after a while.

We've been trailering Pearl back and forth betwen New England and South Carolina for a few years and get a dozen or so cars a day that close on us rapidly only to slow abruptly alongside and then take off again with thumbs up and all that. The ones you have to watch out for are the Rednecks and Pseudo-Rednecks who start weaving all over their lane when they're side-by-side with you. I always worry that they're gonna slide on over and hit the trailer....

Very glad that your trip was uneventful.

Gordon,
We are used to it as we have had the Spyder for four years. Usually people race up and tailgate or pull up to the side and take photos or start filming the car. This was much safer in my opinion then when we are driving the thing and people almost crash into us while staring and giving us the thumbs up. It was much more comfortable trailering!!! thanks for the laugh about the rednecks!!!

Spyder Girl
It took me a little over 5 hours, Lenny and I stopped for a late lunch/early dinner around 4 o'clock. That took a while but it was worth it, we both were sleepy. Up 'til 3 am Saturday night smoking cigars, drinking, and telling lies.....

Very slow at work today, tomorrow who knows? Difficult to go to bed early!

The Nichols clan was missed, next year guys! Or maybe Pumpkin run? Or howzabout a cruise around the lower Hudson Valley/N. Jersey by Max's house?
