A buddy recently found out I have a speedster. He was huge into VW's back in the 90's. He gave me a complete short block without heads if I want it. I've been toying with the idea of throwing in something more fun. Can I build decent HP from a dual relief stock case, warm heads, etc? I know my aircooled buddies I work with (one has a fuel inj. Turbo Ghia!) scream at me to build a stroker. A 1915 would be a simple non stroked build.... Is this case worth driving 20 miles to get?

Get in touch with Gordon off-line and get the specs on his engine. I did the same thing, but at an aircooled show this past Summer and I'm following his lead completely.

Easy to build, not a whole lot of machining, but the very best bang for the buck and then some that I've heard of.

Luck
