MeGuiar's Deep Crystal System does a really nice job.

Comes in three parts:

Step 1 is a rubbing compound to remove oxidation and swirl marks

Step 2 is a polishing agent to bring out the color and shine

Step 3 is a carnuba wax to coat and protect the shine

I've used it and it worked well on other cars (especially dark colored ones), but on my white Speedster I used a poly-coat from Blue Coral for the final coat instead of the Meguiar's carnuba wax. Used both step one and two, though - they worked well, but I just preferred a poly coat this time.

go straight to a professional autobody supply house.
they'll give you advice and sell you the proper product and applicator. It makes a big difference, lambs wool, foam,
cotton and at what stage you use them. If you want a great
job and you have never done it before, pay someone.
The products/ tools are not cheap and its quite a bit of time
and elbow grease. But worth it in the end i'm sure it'll look great.
Tom, if all else fails, a friend of mine turned the chalked and faded blue gelcoat on his 20 year old sailboat into a finish that looked brand new with a product called PolyGlow. It was labor intensive and had to be reapplied after about a year and a half of sitting in a sun and salt water environment. I called him for information and he gave me the web address: www.polyglowproducts.com
