Happening this Sunday, here's some info:

May 02, 2010 - BUG-IN 35, Southern California
Fontana, California

CB Performance, Flat 4, and CSP once again bring you the 2010 BUG-IN 35!! Sunday May 2 we will be back out at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana California.

-Car Show
-Drag Racing
-Huge Swap Meet
-Special Displays
-Manufactures Midway with all the major players in the industry.

The DKP will have their 45th Anniversary Display, as well as 1960's Gassers "Tar Babe" and "Under Dog 2" that will be visiting from overseas. The Schley Dragster along with other period race cars will also be on special display throughout the weekend. This is one VW event you do not want to miss!

Gates open at 7am
Spectator Admission $20, Children 12 and under free.
Racing $45, includes car + driver.
Free Swap Spot and Free Car Show entry (with paid spectator admission)

Mr Bill and I had a great time! He's and old Cal look bug guy too. I don't remember the BugIN crowd being so old though.... Lee Lighton was racing he's 80 now. Pretty cool. Mr Bill won 2nd place for coach built There was only 3 speedsters there and 2 Spyders, Bill also won some offroad lights and some other stuff that didn't fit his car. We really need to rally together and get SOC to the Classic on June 10 in Irvine. Book that date Desi!

A fun day at the Bug-in, 29 years since my last one. Mark and I had a blast along with everyone else.
It was during my old Bug-in days when I decided my ultimate car would be a Speedster replica.
Mark, on the way out your buddy was at his Ghia. I stopped and chatted with him, a big fan of our cars, even had speedster gauges in his car. He didnt know he had won 1st in his class!!!
