BUGOUT #66 6 Sep Manassas VA

Bug Out 66 is 6 Sep at Old Dominion Speedway in Manassas VA. Admission is $15/per person or $15 advance registration for vehicle and driver for judging. Some 20 parts vendors will be there. Features drag race, salom event, car judging, and, of course, Ms. Bug Out.

I won best in class this spring at bug out 65 in Manassas. Bring the competition! If I still have the car that is.

Schubbie and I are going to help keep the Chinese/Brazilian aftermarket economy going. Any other other local So planning to attend? CRHemi? GBrindle? Anyone entering their car?

I still like those FF Avenger GT12's! There's always a good showing of various kit cars there along with mint VWs.

111 miles in a good Speedie is nothing, Alan. You'll enjoy the drive.

...the journey IS the adventure!! I drove 85 miles (each way) to San Diego just to watch Lane throw back a few Cadillac Margaritas for dinner! It was worth it.

The Bug-out looks like it would be great fun!

I drive 650 miles each way to Carlisle, and then there's Jack Crosby who comes all the way from Hot Springs, which is located somewhere near Venus.

We don't wanna hear no whinin' about a measly 111 miles!

Alan - I'm 30 miles north of event just 1/4 mile off I95 route to there. Feel free to drop in and rest with a cold one or two --- or install my Speedie windshield and wiring!

Trying to recall what Cory and Dale won - think, 3rd for best radical design or some such and Dale won a 1st place for his red CMC MG TD. I got honorable mention for telling them how great my CMC Speedie was going to be if I ever completed it (just kidding - they didn't believe me that I ever finish it).

Eh! From WV to NJ and back twice weekly, I do 1,800 to 2,200 miles every four days ~

Any last minute ....."I'm going?"

Alan and Dale showed up. Met 2 other SO who aren't active on Forum. Wally from Solomon's MD has a 356 powered CMC and other is from Portsmith VA. Very rare '50 Devin sighted for sale - wonder if that started the kit car craze? Scored a '74 alternator with backing blate and fan for $30 and host of other necessities. Thank goodness for Dale's golf cart and HD buckets - made 3 trips to stash loot.
