Might be a great summer event for an east coast gathering.

"Bugs By the River VW Show and Open House @ Acme Car Co Shop. Family event. Bring the whole family for fun, food, and kids activities. Free admission and tours of our shop. Trophies awarded to top of class."

This is a relatively new VW shop near Harrisburg, Pa. They had one of the largest displays at Carlisle (across from Special Editions). Here's the link: www.acmecarco.com/2009/05/08/bugs-by-the-river

Was good meeting up with the crew yesterday. The weather held although it was South Carolina HOT and HUMID! We got to tour the AcmeCarCo.'s
layout including the parts sales area, the engine and trans. building area and vehicle assembly shop. It's surely nice having them in my backyard. Sorta like having CIP1 next door as prices are very comparable.

Was a hot morning, talked with a friendly group of buggy owners there. Got a lot of good street buggy ideas for my latest shop venture.
Called Kim to check on the pending rain and headed home with the top down, made it to within a half mile of the house when it started coming down ...called Kim "Open the garage doors" and came in for an almost dry landing. Good to see to you guys. ~Alan
