That sounds good Carlos. Maybe just get a longer bolt for the shock and space it out with another nut? Saves you from bending.
Great news on your sway bar, Danny. I might try making one for The Project.
Cool Ed. Are my pictures enough? I can send links for the end pieces I used.
Bushings and rod ends from Summit.
I'll be in touch.
I completed this project for my Spyder. It required milling machine work and welding. If you find this information useful a note will be appreciated.
Excelente!!!! tendria q ver si se puede hacer igual para mi speedster
I never did give an update on what I ended up doing with my limit straps. I did as Danny suggested, and added spacers and a longer grade 8 bolts. This made the strap clear the spring and also allowed me to use the exhaust clamps that I had. BTW, the spacers came with the straps, and I got them from Summit.
I originally had the straps too tight and made the rear end a little tail happy. I slid the exhaust clamps down to loosen the straps a touch and fixed this. I'll tighten them back up to tune them when I get a front sway bar installed.

Very cool. My straps allow a few degrees positive camber, but that's it. If they are too tight it will be a little tail happy(like you found out!) until you get a good front bar in there.
I like how clean you did yours, Carlos. I may have to copy yours. I really like the finished look of it all.
Mine are just my old 2" Crow shoulder belts LOL!
Nice clean install for sure !
Just to update this thread, there has been ZERO bending of the bottom shock bolts on the front due to the anti-sway bar. I have about 4000 miles on it at this point. Coupling nuts, shock bolts are all in good shape.
The car has been to the mountains in North Carolina and been run there twice. And run HARD. Bar is performing beautifully.

Long time getting back to this one. Glad it's working for you Danny.
LOL Jim, it only came to mind because Carlos referenced it in another post.
I can personally attest that Danny's car was driven in an extremely spirited manner in the mountains of NC. He scared dead people.

Carlos is where the idea came from. I always give him credit for setting me in motion on my project.
