All - If you have a VS - does your car have the rubber grommets to cover the whole where the rear bumper brackets come out of the car?

I just noticed I had them in the front but nothing on the back.  Still inspecting every inch of this car so wondering while making my list if they are supposed to be there and were just forgotten?

Thanks

Todd

Probably because in 12 years of visiting this site, this is the first time anybody's mentioned it. Kirk's in this to make a living, and everybody knows (or should know) he's not building for the high-end market. $10 is $10, and that's more money in either his (or the buyer's) pocket.

With VS what you get in your car is sort of like a crapshoot. Mine came with an adjustable springplate on one side, a regular one on the other and no front anti-sway bar. I've heard of other VS's that came with the stock VW front anti-sway bar. I had to buy a pair of adjustable springplates (luckily the ones I got matched the one already in the car so I had to just install the one) and a Bugpack heavy duty front ant-sway bar and install those mysel. Later I decided to add a camber compensator in the back.

For all you turkeys that don't have the rear grommets  , may I suggest buying a couple ,and then without removing the bumper to install them simply cut the bottom part of the grommet, toward the center , slip grommet around steel bar and then using some silicone caulking( clear) put a dab between the grommet and body of car ,tape with BLUE masking tape overnight , and get moving on to the next project.     ps. go easy on the silicone you don't need much!!!
