Bumper Over-Riders for VS

Hey, does anyone know where you can get aftermarket over-rider bumpers for Vintage type of kits? I know IM has them but I am wondering if there are any after market products that can be adapted. Thanks in advance. Andy

This is way more difficult then just ordering the tubes and sticking them on the car. If you really wanted to do it, you need to have someone take Henry's stock and adapt them and then put them on the car. Even the originals were pretty much custom fit and tweeked to fit the individual car.

My recollection was Dale shipped his bumpers to Henry and had Henry fit them. Have you considered asking what's-his-name at Vintage if he can do the $ame $ervice?

My understanding is that the attachment and countouring of the bars to fit the bumpers is a tedious and difficult process.

Dan, stunning 05 IM you have, I noticed on your conv top, what I think to be a drip rail, on the drivers side running the length of the door?am I right and if so is that an option when buying a top? any info would help, thanks,Jane

Jane, the drip rail is a part of Henry's Roadster Top.

thanks Dale, I just don't recall seeing a drip rail before, but as I was thinking about it I thought its probably because most times tops are down. As I see more and more examples of the IM roadster i AM LEARNING just how incredibly different they are from what I had, a CMC speedster. I go to see the one I probably will buy soon in Seattle. It will need all cosmetics. The CMC I had was a struggle to juggle with the top bows every time I put the top down, they wouldn't stay in place, not to mention the lack of body to the top with less bows due to the speedsters low winshield and the flimsy vinyl material.

Jane, you are certainly welcome. If you get to Seattle try to swing a visit to Vancouver and see/meet Henry. I believe that the rain drip channel is something relatively new on the roadsters from Henry, I know on Bill's Roadster, a beautiful Black/black/tan, he deleted the rain channels. If the car you are looking at does not have them and it is desirable to you, Henry may be able to get the aluminum extrusions for you.

Jane, I waited for 6 months for Bob to make some overriders. When he finally said he had some and I replied with "great how quickly can you ship it?" he never did respond again.

While I think Bob's intentions are good, I question if he will actually ever come through with them.

He was quoting 250-400 per bar plus you will need to buy the bumperettes for them at about 800-900 for the chromed version. Ok, thats 1700 dollars and you haven't fitted them or chromed the tubes yet. Don't use the polished aluminum bumperettes with the chrome tubes, unless you don't mine them not matching in shine or reflection.

Makes Henry's look like a great deal in my opinion.

he literally has the front over rider completed, saw pictures of both versions, high and low. Doesn't Stoddard the front bumperettes for $199 each, and Henry doesn't want anything to do with fitting the over riders on my bumpers, so where does that leave me!

Yes, after tax that will be almost 900 dollars. You are going to need four bumperettes. 4 x 200, tax, shipping


He still doesn't have the rear ones done???? Good God, he was suppose to be doing the rear ones back in May. Is he saying he will fit them to your bumpers?

for now for me, rear ones aren't improtant, and Henrys are over $2100 for front and rear bars and Bumperettes, and he will not fit them to my bumper. Yes, if I ship my bumper to BOB, he will install the bumperettes and over rider.
