Gentlemen will front and back bumpers from 356 A, and 356 B fit a speedster correctly ? Or does the speedster have a particular set of bumpers that it does or doesn't share with other models?
And How do you feel about the fiberglass repro bumpers, I have the sense that aside from visual appearance they are a waste because they probably won't even stop a healthy squirrel, let alone a 5mph bump into a curb. Am i alone in that feeling ?????

Kurt Mezger in Pennsylvania can make you a set of 50's look "nerf bars" from aluminum or steel. He would need bumper bracket patterns for a correct fit.

Personally, I don't plan on hitting anything in front of me and will have enough power to be able to get away from anything behind me. Riding motorcycles on city streets and highways for 45 years made me a defensive driver...
Yes, these bumpers are a joke. This post could have gone on the Gripe List heading too.

I will shortly be adding front axle stiffeners (forgot what they are called), it should help with stiffening the front end a bit and maybe the front of the car in general.

Like George says, if you want to survive street riding motorcycles you need to drive defensively at all times, and like when white water canoeing, to steer out of trouble it helps to be going slightly faster than the flow.
