I've been trying to score a second pair for my 356SC forever, even offered to let the seller just chop them into pieces and stuff them into a box for easy shipping. I can re-assemble/fiberglass them back together when they get here. I figure that they'd need re-contouring anyway.

But . . . no takers.

Must have heard about that whole nationwide shortage thing . . .
Hey Rick,

Willing to chop each one into thirds or fourths, make the backs front or rear, tape 'em up, pitch them into a box and sell them to me?

Might even just be able to wrap the bundle in duct tape as-is, address 'em, and send them that way.

Maybe?

If yes, just lemme know the cost plus shipping to Kingston, MA 02364, I'll email you my address, and done deal.

Thanks ! !

TC
TC,
I admire your persistence. Let me see what I can do without too much destruction.I'll measure them again when I get home and worst case scenario, (if too long for UPS)I'll cut them in half.
Oh... guy flaked on the side spears and 1600Super script. If you're interested, they are still in their original box from Klasse 356.
PM me if there is any interest & I'll send it all at the same time.
Rick
I was supposed to receive a package from DHL this past Winter. The sender gave me the shipping info, and it was supposed to get here via two day delivery.

DHL never came nor called. After four days (the end of the week) I called the local office and they said that it was there, but they weren't sure when it would be delivered . . . honest, but kinda crazy.

I called the sender and gave him the info and he called back with the same answer, "They didn't know WHEN it would be delivered." They were very polite and offered him a partial refund since the package wasn't delivered "on time" . . . BUT they still couldn't tell him when it WOULD be delivered.

I had to drive over there (just two towns over) and pick it up myself ! ! ! No explaination given, they just had no idea when it would be on the truck and delivered . . .

INSANE ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

"Their prices are so cheap I'm not sure why they are still in business."

They might not be for long. It might be cheap to ship, but evidently there's no incentive for them to deliver it.

I mean it was THE most INSANE thing that I've ever run into with a shipper ! ! ! ! ! "Yup, it's right here. Nope, I don't know when it'll be going out."

WHAT ? ! ? ? ! ? ? ! ? ? ! ? ? ! ? ? ! ? ? ! ?
Rick,

The bumpers (along with the sensational trim and cool brackets) came late yesterday . . . what a TREAT ! ! ! !

I have GOT to say, "Persistance Pays!" They all, everything in the box, were just terrific and are going to replace the pieces that I've already bought. I can see why you were so reluctant to just chop 'em up for me.

I'm, an idiot!

Please shoot me an email and let me know the TOTAL that I owe you. Cost plus shipping plus packing and such and I'll either send you a check or PayPal or whatever you like.

Thanks again ! ! ! ! ! ! !

TC
TC,
Happy that everything arrived to your satisfaction. It took me a bit of time to pack it and Frankenstein the box but I wanted to be sure!
The UPS invoice was placed in an envelope & sent snail mail the same day the bumpers were picked up by UPS. It contains all the pertinent information including my address. Let me know if you don't receive it by next week and I'll shoot you over a pic of the original. As agreed, a personal check is fine. It's not about the $$$ but glad to bring joy to another 356 aficionado.
Enjoy those bumpers. They're the only thing left from my torched X-VS....~R
Just finished stripping the paint and cheesy "rubberized undercoat" off of the bumper brackets. Dressed the welds, hit them with zinc then fill primer. All ready for paint.

Wouldn't you think that, considering the price of the Speedsters, that the welds would at least be correct and the spatter removed . . . ? I mean, it only takes a second or two for each one.
