That's some seriously shiny paint there, Troy. What color is that?
Troy, looks great! Love the Carrera mirrors and smooth hood! Did you plug the two small bolt holes left in the fenders after the bumpers were removed? If so what did you use? Lastly what type of mounting bracket was used for your fog lights?
Troy, That Slate Grey color is great on an outlaw!! Nice modifications!

I like it, very much!
Yes, X2 on the color there. I would not have thought of this color for a Speedster out of thin air, but seeing it (here and on other Speedies), I am likin' it.
Looks good. The straps are a nice touch!
Soooo nice !

Nice Troy! That looks very cool.
Very nice Troy
Being just a couple of values (shades) down from black it retains neutrality, i.e. it won't clash with any accent colors...be it interior upholstery choices or sport shirts!
But unlike jet black (a perennial sexy favorite) it doesn't highlight dust, smudges, fingerprints, and a less than flawlessly smooth body panels.
Nice Troy. Beautiful Outlaw!
If people like the color this is pretty close and its for sale.

Beautiful car beautiful color. I am painting my outlaw this week. We picked grey black from Porsche. It is close to your color(maybe a little darker). I have been debating about leaving the hood shaved like yours. It is shaved and the current color is red. I ordered the decal and hood handle thinking i would use it. But I'm not so sure.
Troy:
How did you mount the Marchals to the body?
Nice colour .... love grey

How did you mount the Marchals to the body?
Not mounted to the body, they are mounted through the bumper mount holes, to the same place the bumpers are mounted.
I made the mounting brackets out of 1" aluminum angle iron and cut off all but 1" on one side of the angle bar so I had a 1" square platform to mount the light on. So I ended up with a 9.5 inch flat bar with a 1" square angle at the end.
Troy--another beauty--truly outstanding. Congrats on the beautiful work!
Great job. I have to redo mine.

The Marchals look great on your outlaw. I was very tempted to go that route with my car but in the end I purchased some amber fogs from ISP West as the mounting bracket allowed me to fix the lights direct to the body using existing drill holes. Here is a pic a guy took of the installation at the Canepa Cars & Coffee on 04/11. Chris

Chris.
Your car looks nice with the amber lights too! Here are a couple of pictures of a silver outlaw I had a few years ago. I mounted the Marchals to the body like you did. I had to do a little bit of modification to the rear of the housing so the mount could swivel to a perpendicular position, but it was very easy to do.
I like them mounted on the body, but I didn't want to have to plug up the bumper holes and repaint the car so I mounted them through the bumper holes this time.

Chris and Troy, I like them all. The extra lights just look BADASS!

Looks great, Troy, as all your cars do!
Bob that last post ... if I met that car face to face it surely looks like the car has eyes on you.. eye, eye, eye, just kidding (round mirrors, round lights round fog lights. Ray
Troy I like the lower position that you installed them at.
Great job.
Bob,
Do you have more photos of that outlaw? I'm trying to figure out the doubles circles on the hood.
Bruce, I think that is sort of a tear drop shape on the hood.
I think the guy wanted a spotlight on it.
Bruce:
One more shot. I just have the two shots of it. I saved it because it was interesting, and similar to what I wanted for my IM6 build.

was it a track car ? if not i guess this driver uses hand signals!
Pics of how I plugged the bumper holes. Not too bad considering I painted them with a touchup paint brush. Spraying them with clear coat did the trick.

Troy: Great minds think alike. Here's Pearl, from some where around 2005 or so when I added the Marchal lights I won at the Carlisle Raffle (THANK YOU Special Edition, for your raffle donation!!!!!!!!!)
Here's a front view:
And I didn't want them jiggling about, so I fab'd up a mirrored pair of body mounts from 3/16" stainless steel plate - nobody told me how hard stainless steel is to work with......It takes a LOT of heat to bend that stuff.
Then, to finished off theOutlaw "look", I used a pair of braided stainless steel hoses to carry the wires from the frame to the lights. They may look suspiciously like Kitchen Faucet water connections.....Trust me, only the Home Depot guy would know.

BTW, I had to run the Nerf Bars when I first got her on the road back in 1999 because of head-up-ur-butt Massachusetts DMV regs back then. The only alternative when I got the lights was to mount them slightly inboard and balance everything off with placement. She's also wired for a pair of Fog lights, too, if I could ever figure out where to mount them, assuming they were round and classy.
Very nice work Gordon. They look great!
