I've viewed and researched here and the net but not a picture or illustration to be found of the fix for CMC butt sag. I understand from some conversation that the vertical upright inside the wheel well is an attachment location but how far back would the bracing go, also drilling through that upright from the side would be difficult with the lack of space for a drill.

 Thanks in advance for the feedback. I can't believe after closely looking at the two weld/overlap points that they expected that to support the cantilevered weight of the rear.

I did my '89 CMC several years ago.  I raised the front fulcrum mounting point (behind the door) with 2x2" steel angle iron.  Then used a steel flat piece to angle down to the back.  This was after drilling out the old rivets, jacking fiberglass up, applying adhesive and rebolting where the rivets were.  I used all stainless steel bolts.  I bought a cheap $20 right angle drill from harbor freight to drill the tight quarter holes.

 

When you drill out the rivets you see that the fiberglass mounting holes are elongated in the fiberglass - although I suspect the steel sagged some too,
