Retired beginning of Aug Ron. But I gotta leave here to make it work. Too expensive to live here on an early pension. So been renovating, no, dealing with deferred maintenance on our house here so we can sell for decent coin and move to our house in Niagara-on-the-lake. Luckily, house prices here never took a dip. In fact they went up...probably up 20% or more from 2 years ago. And they didn't go down back then either.
Been working like a dog. Renoing and packing and realized....we've got way too much damn stuff!! Gotta get rid of crap. You know my old 66 912...I took a sawzall to it, cut it up into 6 pieces and took it to the dump. (they charge $100 for an old car but only $5 for a load of scrap metal) Kept a lot of parts but I just can't justify packing them all down south.
So redid one bath that was completely gutted, am almost finshed the second bath, took all the crap out of the front and back of the house to the dump and did some landscaping, redid the foundation in the house, etc, etc. Everything has to be new to get decent coin here. No one will buy an older stick biult house when they can buy a brand spankling new double wide trailer for the same $$. Go figure??
