Hey Kids:

I know its been a while since I've been on here.

Well after much trepidation I have sold my beloved speedster Miss Jill. As many of you know I put a ton of work to make her look just like the real deal.  As of Monday she is going to a new home in Pismo Beach Ca.

She brought a lot enjoyment and most of all I was fortunate enough to meet some incredible people on this site and in person during our many trips to SLO.  Most of them are my dearest friends to date.   You all know who you are.. I do miss the old SLO days and the Crazy Friday nights at the Hotel and the beautiful Saturday drive..I did love treating every one to free beer and wine from 530 to 7.. It brought me great joy and Happiness as well!!

I cannot forget the people whom worked hard to get the car to my specs.

Starting with @Terry Burnett, whom I put through hell, he always found a way to make things work when they may not have.   Thank you Terry!!!

@Troy Sloan for all his wisdom on the onset. Helped guide me in the right directions.

@Pat Downs who Built a Killer 2110 for me. He is a true genius, innovator, and well respected in the VW world,  World Wide even..  He now has Pat Downs Performance PDP.. He kept that motor purring like a tiger!!

@Scott Sebastian at Metal Craft Motor Sport who built my 4 speed transmission that acts like a five speed, and a true a Einstein at transmissions and fabrication.  Put him through hell too, but he was a bit calmer about it. (bud light was the secret).

@Hans Huber of German Auto Werks, whom is now retired,  was a huge part in keeping her run straight down the road, brake on time,  and running smooth like clockwork.  Again, a Genius at fabrication and his overall knowledge of Porsche and VW is overwhelming.

Lucky to have them in all in my corner..   A BIG THANK YOU!!!

And of course all you guys on the SOC site nationwide whom put up with my sarcasm and witty humor

Not going to say good bye completely..

So until next time..

Stay healthy and drive safely.

Best Reagrds

Thank you All for the great memories and the pics..

@Impala posted:

That is a killer car; very similar to mine. Your interior is absolutely the best; especially that shifter. What is it? A custom job?

@ImpalaThat is a standard VW shifter  Fabricated (bent) and painted to look like a speedster shifter.  You just have to modify the 356 shift knob and add an threaded insert that matches the size of the threads on the VW shifter.  and WHA-LA    EASY PEEZY

Or If  @Terry Nuckles is still writing books, you can Pick up his latest how to book:

"BEND IT, TWIST IT, MAKE IT WORK SOMEHOW "  The beginners guide to modifying  your Speedster replica.  Over 13 million copies sold world wide.

Here is a fond SLO memory… Selfie with a highway patrol officer pulling me over on the 101, wrote me up for 80 in a 65… I was actually doing 90 lol lol. That damn 2110 has a lot of power…. I’ve never seen a highway patrol officer run faster to get into his car lol..

@ALB

Miss Jill sold for $38,365… I have two back up offers for $40,000 and $40,250..

I think the market is softening a little bit my original plan was to sell it last November December January but didn’t pull the trigger… Probably would’ve gotten more..

Also I think that I could not identify the builder that may have been an issue as well… But the car is solid and the new owner is going to love it… Mileage may have been a factor as well..
