Yup...did a loop arond Lady's and St. Helena islands - stopped at one of the docks that was used in the filming of "Forest Gump", stopped at the "Shrimp Shack" for lunch and later came upon a bunch of guys street dragging their cafe racer bikes - cool afternoon!!
Nice tractor, Ron.....chase that snow coming and going!!
76F here in beautiful downtown Beaufort, today (2/4/08). Winter lasted the past three weeks, and now we're finally getting warmer. Whew! Been a long Winter!!
Spent the afternoon cleaning leaves off the lawn in Tee-shirt weather. We're in-between "falls" - The Hickory trees lost their leaves back in late November (lots of big leaves to clean up), but the Live Oaks lose all their leaves in early March (LOTS of little leaves to clean up). And the Palmettos drop their fronds all year long (one palm frond is almost the size of my Speedster - a windy day can drop several). Never lived in a place that needed a chipper/shredder more than this place.
The only snow I want to see (after seeing 18" plus lots of ice when we visited the kids in New England over Christmas) is on the "Weather Channel".....I remember Maple Sugaring in Southern Vermont when I was in my teens - snow up to my arm pits and wallowing around in it carrying a couple of sap buckets while freezing my fingers off (and they STILL ache when they're cold). No thanks!
