One of the things that the Fiat will have is a VW ball joint disk brake front beam. I ordered two pair of high heat Brembo "decals" out of the UK.

An ATE caliper, a bit of grinding, a few hits with VHT caliper paint, and the application of the Brembo "decal" and . . .

With the unfinished and re-worked caliper in the same pic(s), you can get a pretty good idea of the difference a little paint detailing and a decal can make.

Not perfect, but perfect for what I need for the project.

The caliper covers aren't made to work with either the ATE or Girling calipers used on the Type III or Karmann Ghia. There is precious little clearance between the wheel and caliper on an air cooled VW, I doubt that there's 0.4" between the caliper and spokes on my Empis, less on my Sprint Stars.

Although, I AM considering ordering up a set in Legend Lime for my Mustang; they'll do custom color if you ask for it. In the case of the little Fiat project, the $10 or so for the four "decal" set was perfect. Even if the covers were available, that price would have been the deciding "NO" vote.
These guys will make heat proof Brembo caliper decals in any color that you want and will also make up decals with any word(s) that you want as well, Revell, or whatever:

Just click on either "Brake Caliper Decals" or "Custom Caliper Decals" and go on from there.
