You guys have been lurking and posting here for some time now, and I KNOW you would like to come to Carlisle and see all us crazies "up close and personal" (well, maybe not THAT "up close" but you know what I mean).
You could also get a Southwest caravan going with Jack Crosby in Hot Springs, AR so there would be three of you at first, then meet up with the Hoss Drive in Knoxville (at least three more cars) for the rest of the trip up I81 through the "Applechain" Mts. What a gorgeous trip!!! The beautiful ride through along Appalachians on I81 is worth it right there!
And how about the rest of you out in the Mid-West?? This may be the trip of a lifetime and, REMEMBER! Gas ain't gettin any cheaper! You may have precious few trips like this left before it gets too expensive to make it. Why waste the chance for the experience of a lifetime?? Jim Ward, God bless his soul and long distance Speedie driver extraordinaire, would want to see more of us making trips like this while we still can. That's what we've GOT these cars for, right?
So how 'bout it?? And how 'bout you West Coasters, too??????? Find the time! Use up those Vacation Days at Work!
