About putting the balance on those wide fives. As I recall, you went thru the drill not too long ago. Who'd ya find to do yours?

just call any tire shop and ask if they can balance a 5x205 bolt pattern.

Ernie--I am in a small town (Hot Springs, AR) and there was no place here who could balance my tires--the wide 5s wouldn't fit their equipment.

I bought an adaptor from Manley that bolts onto the wheels with the wheel lugs then the wheel will fit any balancing machine.

I am certain that this issue was part of the list of things needing sorting that made my seller dump his VS after just 700 miles. Driving it from Monroe, LA to Hot Springs told me exactly why he wanted $24,000 all in cash! It's 100% sorted now with a few improvements thanks to the fine folks on this site.---Jack

Thanks Jack, I've already located 2 near by shops that can do the job. I was just interested in what Michael experienced.
BTW, how much did that adapter cost?

There are shops that can balance wheels on the car too (strobe balancing). They have a electric motor that runs the tire up to speed. It balances all the moving parts which is good - you just can't really rotate the tires without messing it up.

Spin balance on the vehicle - the ONLY way to go! Been doin' it this way for over 30 years.

Sorry to be slow responding. Big O tires on west main street in Woodland can spin balance the wheel. Great service, they even let me hang around in the shop while they did the work.

There is another place the guys at Bugformance talked about that spins on the car. They weren't sure about it, so I didn't bother.
